The Apachean Tribes faction has access to the 'warpath' ability which is an equivalent shamanistic counterpart to the jihad in the main campaign. These titles unlock more advanced building levels for the player to use. When the player progresses through the campaign playing as New Spain, the player will be presented with missions from the King of Spain, and when sufficient influence is gained, the player may be granted a higher title of nobility such as Baron, Count, etc. The native factions have weaker units with little armor, but their extremely low upkeep allows vast numbers of them to be fielded and they generally possess high morale. The colonizing forces consist of small numbers of expensive but powerful units, their numbers often bolstered by local native mercenaries. French and English forces will show up in the same way: the French appears in Louisiana and the English in Honduras.

Once spawned, the New Spain faction can use these armies however they see fit. This campaign implements various conquistador armies that went to the New World by spawning large, formidable armies in the Americas with allegiance to New Spain. The Spanish must struggle to explore an unknown land filled with violent natives, while the Native Americans attempt to stall foreign invasion and simultaneously expand their lands at the expense of their neighbors. Players no longer receive incorrect event messages in hotseat games. Faction heirs in the Americas campaign have had their loyalty increased to fix them rebelling early in the game. Dead wives no longer produce children in the Crusades campaign. Assassination missions targeting Crusading Nobles no longer expire when they are successfully carried out.

The Baron's Alliance no longer re-emerges after taking control of England. Fixed the Norwegian banners displaying the Novgorod symbol when out of fog of war. Requirements of various Apachean units have been reduced allowing them to be more easily obtained.

Fixed Wales not receiving reinforcements when capturing bordering English settlements. Crusading Nobles can no longer become the Faction Leader in the Teutonic campaign. New Faction Leaders in the Teutonic campaign now have the correct model. Fixed exploit that allowed certain characters' stats to be raised by repeatedly saving the game. Fixed various units having incorrect banners on the battle map. Fixed Lithuanian Arquebusiers firing too frequently. Swordsmiths' Guild Headquarters now gives the correct bonus to Knights trained in the Crusades campaign. Mangonels can now be constructed at Siege Works in the Teutonic campaign. Byzantine can now construct a Marksmanship Range. The Kingdom of Jerusalem can now construct King's Stables. Denmark now has Norwegian units available to them when the Kalmar Union is formed. Byzantine Gunners are now available to be recruited in the Crusades campaign.

Fixed deployment zones being in unreachable locations on some river crossings and bridge battles. Fixed a number of inconsistencies between units' speech and their unit cards. Fixed various units having incorrect shield values. Forts in the Crusades campaign are now made of stone.
